The approgance of Gordon Brown & his set of yes persons know no bounds, this whole banking mess we are in is entirely down to his term as chancellor, it is no use blaming it on the U.S. or the world, some countries that haven,t been so stupid throwing money around like confetti are still in growth. It has been obvious to any thinking person that it would all go belly up, it was just a question of when, they still think they know best, take no advice from people better placed to advise them, even the govenor of the B of E should not be in charge of a whelk stall, the bonuses should have all been sorted before any taxpayers money was doled out willy-nilly to them,so they have to surround themselves with people that toe the line in order to create the illusion of their competence.
NLV, Prof Nutt’s role as chairman of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs was a voluntary one. He recieved no pay for his expert advice. Alan Johnson sacked him because he believed it wasn’t the ACMD’s chairmans job to ‘initiate public debate’. Infact it is the ACMD’s job to give scientific advice to both Ministers and the General public. So you can take it that he was sacked because the Gov. didnt like what he said. You can find a copy of Johnson’s letter too Prof Nutt in the link provided.
If Brown and his band of bandits can sack an expert on his findings, perhaps now they will get rid of these "Quangos" labour has created and really are of no bloody use to anyone, but cost the dear old tax payer millions.
At least Knutt’s advise was FREE.
why because the british government along with many others make millions from the drugs trade.
where is 90% of the worlds smack made AFGHANISTAN
production has increased since we invaded that country the british army has actually transported drugs for local warlords to gain support
the government ain’t interested in facts that don’t suit there agenda!
drugs like cannabis are constantly villanized to the same extent as smack even though the can prove easily that alcohol and prescription drugs are responsible for more of the antisocial behaviour crime.
