It has been obvious to any thinking person that it would all go belly up, it was just a question of when,they still think they know best, take no advice from people better placed to advise them, even the govenor of the B of E should not be in charge of a whelk stall, the bonuses should have all been sorted before any taxpayers money was doled out willy-nilly to them,so they have to surround themselves with people that toe the line in order to create the illusion of their competence. He recieved no pay for his expert advice. Alan Johnson sacked him because he believed it wasn't the ACMD's chairmans job to 'initiate public debate'. Infact it is the ACMD's job to give scientific advice to both Ministers and the General public. So you can take it that he was sacked because the Gov. didnt like what he said.
